What made you choose Moore Stephens?

I decided to work at Moore Stephens because I have recently completed an undergraduate employee programme here as part of my degree with the Jersey International Business School. During the placement I was able to gain experience across all different areas of the finance industry whilst working for an internationally recognised company.

What sort of professional training do you take?

I have just finished my degree in International Financial Services but I am currently looking at studying either ICSA or STEP qualifications. In addition to this, there is a still a part of me thinking about undertaking a part time MSc course on the Island.

What do you do on an average day?

The average day can be quite varied, as we have an assortment of clients from around the world. The day to day tasks are diverse and give me access to a variety of areas in order to meet the needs of the individual client.

What is your next step?

To start some of my professional qualifications and hopefully gain some more experience working with clients.

What advice would you give yourself as a graduate considering the experience you have now?

Many people who are still considering which career path to take may perceive the finance sector as boring and monotonous. However, it is such a diverse sector, there are opportunities all around us, particularly in Jersey, so make sure you have researched all avenues before dismissing it.
