The Moore Stephens team in Guernsey has recently welcomed back their team member,
Leishia-Jade Finigan, from her 3 month sabbatical spent travelling Australia.
When asked to comment about her sabbatical, Leishia said, “During the pandemic I struck up an interest to go travelling for a short period of time. Luckily, I am fortunate enough to work within a company that understood my desire to go travelling and very kindly gave me the means and support to do so.
I decided to fulfil that desire and go travelling in Australia for 3 months. My travels started off with a group tour in Sydney which led me to trying surfing at a surf camp for a week. I then travelled up to Cairns where I went on some amazing excursions which included snorkelling The Great Barrier Reef and Green Island, visiting The Cape Tribulations, and exploring the Daintree Rainforest. From there I travelled down the East Coast stopping off at some incredible places along the way including Magnetic Island, The Whitsundays, Rainbow Beach, Fraser Island, The Gold Coast and Byron Bay before finally ending my travels in Brisbane for Christmas and New Year.
Along the way I made many good friends who I am pleased to have shared my experience with, ticked off a fair few items on the bucket list, and had many unforgettable experiences.
Now I am glad to be back within the Private Client Services department, picking right back up from where I left off. I am very grateful to Moore Stephens for allowing me to have that opportunity.”
Nick Ford, Managing Director, says, "Being a flexible employer in the current environment is important in order to retain and attract the best people. I am pleased that Leishia made the most of her extended leave and we welcome her back to continue her career and development with Moore Stephens.”
