20 May 22
Earlier this month some of our Fund, Corporate, and Audit team members enjoyed a fantastic evening out and Moore Stephens is delighted to have hosted friends and guests at the JFA Annual Dinner, held on 6 May 2022.
It was great to see the Jersey funds industry back out in force with a revived buzz after a more subdued social calendar in the past couple of years – featuring plenty of glamour, lots of black ties, and thankfully also some splashes of colour to brighten the room (our very own Phillip Callow for example with his #Redfest!).
Tim Morgan, Chair of the Jersey Funds Association, regaled the audience with interesting anecdotes of ‘this day in history’, and reminded guests of the continued success of the Jersey Private Funds product – a versatile, lighter touch regulation fund that is both flexible and easy to establish with the help of your local designated service provider. Last year’s stats reported that the number of JPFs had topped 500 with a 38% growth in the past year alone.
Then came comedian Tom Allen’s turn to take to the stage, at which point we're sure some of the esteemed guests in the front of the room perhaps wished they were sitting further back for fear of attracting Tom’s sharp and witty retorts…
It was a wonderful evening, many thanks to the JFA for organising the event and we look forward to attending again next year!
