My role at Moore Stephens, some two and half years in, has proved far more rewarding than I had anticipated. Having spent the majority of my career at bank-owned trust companies, being the M.D. of a truly independent, privately owned trust company has been refreshing.
Whilst there is a place for all types of ownership models including private equity backed ownership, I do not believe that the interests of clients are always best served by some of those other models. This has become more apparent to me since joining Moore Stephens, as we regularly receive enquiries from advisers seeking a move for their clients’ structures from other service providers.
I am blessed with a stable and committed team all of whom are either professionally qualified or are being supported on a path to qualification in the administration of trust company business. The training of our team, both internally and externally, is fundamental to providing a supportive, challenging and rewarding environment for everyone at Moore Stephens.
The team I have joined has developed many long standing and deep relationships with client families, often through two or three generations. We encourage all members of the team to build relationships with our clients. Our clients appreciate the multiple touchpoints we offer them as it helps to engender a deeper understanding of their needs and expectations and provides continuity of service. Our team also appreciate this level of client interaction which helps foster a culture of diligence and excellence and provides them with the opportunity to develop themselves both professionally and personally.
We are embarking on a growth phase of our business, given the opportunities being presented to us, and are looking for administrators to support the new clients that are coming on board together with some of our existing clients. If the ethos of Moore Stephens appeals to you, please feel free to get in contact with me.
