Moore Stephens would like to congratulate Phillip Callow on his recent appointment as Chairman to local charity, Jersey Child Care Trust (JCCT). This designation followed a rigorous selection and recruitment process, overseen by the Appointments Commission.
Phillip has been appointed as the fourth Chairman to serve the charity as it approaches its 25th anniversary year next year. Phillip takes up the baton from Mrs Marnie Baudains who is retiring after serving three full terms of three years.
Executive Director of JCCT, Mrs Fiona Vacher, says, “The leadership role of Chair, for our charity is crucial. Marnie has so skilfully led our dedicated Board, generously sharing her wisdom and mentorship throughout. She has nurtured our charity through some incredible change, culminating in our extraordinary growth. In the past three years, the JCCT has doubled the number of children and families supported, increased its volunteering supporter base tenfold and doubled its charitably raised funds, despite the pandemic. We are all so grateful to Marnie for all that she has done, enabling us all to make a significant difference for children and families, together with our partners and supporters.”
Outgoing Chair, Mrs Marnie Baudains, says, “I feel privileged to have worked with such a talented and committed group of professional staff and Board members, and to have helped to develop the Trust into a stronger, more independent charity essential to the welfare and development of young children who require our services to achieve the very best start in life. I have enjoyed every moment of it, challenges and all, and leave the Trust in strong, capable hands, confident that it will continue to fulfil an invaluable role at the heart of our community.”
Phillip Callow is the Managing Director of Audit and Assurance, based in Jersey. With over 30 years’ financial services experience, he has also served as Chairman, Director, Company Secretary and Chief Executive of a number of organisations ranging from small private companies to international operations. Most notably, Phillip has served as the Chair of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and the Association of Jersey Charities.
Of being appointed, Phillip says, “The JCCT performs incredible work in Jersey and I am excited and honoured to be able to work with Fiona, her team and the Board to continue to enhance the charity’s profile and engagement and to make life better for children living with adversity, here in Jersey.”
Moore Stephens is incredibly proud to have Phillip on our team, and we know he will be a valuable member on the JCCT team as well. To find out more about JCCT and to learn how you can support the charity, take a look at their website here.
