“We promise to always be a driving force for positive social impact.”
It is with this promise that Moore Global* launched Social Ambition, a global network-wide strategy to deliver positive social impact in all that we do. As a member firm, Moore Stephens has been rolling out this initiative to our Channel Islands offices.
It is in that context that we are proud to announce our partnership with Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust as sponsor of a sculpture for their 2023 Tortoise Takeover campaign.
Tortoise Takeover is an island-wide, public art trail that will bring together every part of Jersey's community and in turn, protect some of the most threatened species on the planet. Over the summer, dozens of tortoise sculptures uniquely designed by a brilliant array of artists will take over Jersey's wild places, coastal vistas and urban hangouts as ambassadors for all the work that Durrell undertakes with reptiles across the globe.
Sam Bird, CEO CI commented: “We are excited to partner with Durrell in this latest initiative, which I am confident will drive staff engagement, community involvement, client interest and crucially raise funds for Durrell’s critical conservation and re-wilding work, notably through the much anticipated charity auction of the sculptures at the end of the summer – on the back of the success of the 2019 Go Wild Gorilla trail which raised well in excess of £1m!”
We will provide further update on our Tortoise Takeover journey over the coming months.
Further information on the Tortoise Takeover – including why tortoises – and Durrell’s work more generally can be found on their website.
